After you have finished filling out the papers applicable to your case, you will file them with the court. To do this, you will make two copies of each document. You will take the original and both copies to the Family Law Division of the Clerk's Office in Room 108-J at the courthouse. There is a filing fee for filing these papers. If you cannot afford this fee, you will fill out an Application for Waiver of Fees which is included in your Dissolution Packet . The clerk will stamp the original paperwork Filed and the copies File Endorsed. The original documents will be kept in the court file and the copies will be returned to you. |
