Some of the forms in the Dissolution Packet useful for this purpose are the Proof of Service and the Notice and Acknowledgement of Receipt.

You will serve your spouse with a copy of all the documents you filed with the court. You can do this in several different ways:
(1) You can do this by having a person who is not personally involved in any of the issues of your divorce personally serve your spouse and, then, fill out the Proof of Service for you to return to the court.
(2) You can also have the Sheriff’s Office serve the papers. There is a fee for this service unless you have a Waiver of Fees. If the Sheriff’s Office serves the paperwork, they will complete the Proof of Service for you.
(3) You can hire a private process server.
(4) If you and your spouse are on friendly terms, you can simply provide him/her with the paperwork and a form called Notice and Acknowledgment of Receipt which they can sign and return to you.

Once you have filed the paperwork, you will serve it on your spouse.
